Bio

Hi! My name is Noah (he/him), and I am a music educator and youth development professional. I grew up in Northern, Virginia, where I benefited from a vibrant community and easy access to nature.  I have developed my teacher toolbox by working with students of many ages and backgrounds.

Here are some of my key experiences that I draw upon in my work:

  1. My first job was as a counselor at my synagogue’s summer camp in 7th grade- the camp spirit never dies!
  2. In high school, I led social justice dialogues throughout the community in a program called Operation Understanding DC.
  3. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, where I partnered with a local organization to build a community organizing program for area youth.
  4. After college, I worked in special education and math literacy at Camden High School in North Minneapolis, where I collaborated with other youth workers to meet the socio-emotional needs of our students.
  5. Most recently, I oversaw the Club J After-School Program, where I used my system design and administrative skills to boost enrollment numbers and diversify programming.
  6. And of course, I love playing music! I am a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, and I enjoy facilitating jams in my studio- The Lavender House. I have accompanied in a variety of artists but am currently focused on a collaborative project called CrownShy.
